About Us

In 1998 Andreas opened his first day stall at Philadelphia's Reading Terminal Market during the winter months when Amish farmers were taking the winter months off.

Andreas baked all night, and transported his freshly baked products to the market before opening at 8:00 every morning. Since the very first day Andro has been providing his customers with the finest and freshest gourmet foods and baked goods. He immediately developed a regular customer base and the then general manager of the market Marcy Rogovin gave him a spot where he was able to set up his kitchen and shop to provide his rapidly growing clientele with gourmet meals, appetizers, salads, desserts and all sorts of freshly baked goods.

Andreas right from the start took advantage of all the fresh and locally grown produce that was available within the market and worked closely with some of the Amish farmers as well as other vendors in the market, buying fresh fish and meats from within the market.

After several years at the Reading Terminal Market, Andreas opened Andro’s Sweets & Treats in a Rittenhouse Square neighborhood offering all his popular desserts and pastries as well as fine Belgian chocolates and ice cream.

In the past several years he worked as a private chef for a family in Center City, and now is operating an online shop and personal chef services.
